Day Two Hundred Fourteen.

Wide awake.

Whenever the time comes for another goodbye we always decide on that last night to stay up the whole time especially because the Army LOVES early morning flights. The night usually consists of us doing a lot of talking, watching TV and/or a movie, trying to be in denial of another separation, and by 2:30am we are both passed out. The total sleep is three hours or less. In no way can this be healthy, but every time it helps Jason sleep on the plane and me sleep on and off the majority of a sad day. Hey it works for me I'd rather sleep when I am a sloppy mess than the last few hours together.

We were the same way all during college when we had to say goodbye. We haven't had an early morning goodbye in a LONG time though, I think I prefer them!

Praying for you, hope those fabulous memories last you :)

I hope you have a wonderful last bit of time together.

Matt and I love our sleep almost as much as we love each other, and we definitely just snuggled up and slept before he left. I love the idea of staying up though :)

I can never sleep. My hubby on the other hand can sleep anytime, anywhere. So, I usually wind up wide awake and sobbing while he sleeps. Pathetic, but true. I wish R&R was longer!

Ugh I wish I could stay up. I get obnoxiously sleepy at 10 every night. If I get in bed at that time, I'm done for. The night before Scott deployed we planned on staying up most of the night because we had to be up super early to be at his barracks for his inspection. We ordered a couple of movies in the hotel room and about and hour into the first one (the one I wanted to watch... hubby played that one first because he knew I would fall asleep before the 2nd movie) I was seriously fighting off sleep. I was definitely asleep for all of the 2nd movie. I always have good intentions of staying up, I just can't ever follow through!

I hope your last night together was everything you wanted and needed it to be to make it through the next part of this deployment!

We tried that right before Scott left and we fell asleep 30 minutes before we had to get up lol And I did sleep the day away afterwards. I'm thinking of you today, I'm here for you if you need anything.

I do that a lot before early morning flights. I prefer to be able to just pass out on the plane. P can sleep anywhere, so I'm sure if we tried that, he'd fall asleep on me in about 10 minutes.

Sorry that your time is coming to an end, but it sounds like you had a wonderful time together!
