Day Two Hundred Fifty-Five.

Only in Alaska would you have to pay Internet by the amount of megabytes you want. We use to have the whole cable/Internet/phone package and wanted to just have the Internet this time around and the damn thing is only forty dollars cheaper and doesn't even include unlimited megabytes. It would also help if Alaska offered more choices as far as providers go so I could shop around and compare prices.

I am starting to stress a little on the things I still need to accomplish here and set up for when I get there. The idea of doing everything on my own when I get back as far as moving our stuff, finding help for the furniture, getting the car out of storage, changing my insurance back to West, and all the other fun things that go with it is a bit overwhelming I must say.

I'm also not ready to go back to a billion bills haha.

Do you use GCI? Don't even get me started on how I feel about them. I had almost forgotten what regular internet and cable was like until I moved back to the lower 48 and was amazed by how much you get for your money lol

I know that dealing with it all is going to be hard and scary, but I know you can do it! :)

I have never heard of paying for internet by the megabytes...Thats insane...Sheesh...When I lived there we had GCI but I never saw the bills because it was paid for through the church, so most likely it was by the megabyte and I never knew it:p I hope this all gets a little more stress free soon! And itsn't funny how you start to crave running after you've been doing it for a bit, LOVE IT!

Oh, I SOOOO feel you on doing it all yourself. I've been so stressed doing this move by myself. I have no idea how to set up the electronics or anything. I'll DIE without tv! ;)

Just know that you're not alone... you've always got your military bloggie buddies to bitch to. We get it. Don't like it, but do get it. Sigh.

Boo Bills! And Boo GCI Cable/internet! (That's who we use anyway and they suck)

=/. The doing-it-all-alone part is daunting. I'm sorry.

I pay like this with Verizon and it sucks!!! You can't watch tv shows or youtube videos or download anything without it costing a fortune!

Sorry you are getting everything together on your own but just think about who will be there with you in Alaska : )

Good luck with the move. I know how stressful it is doing most things on your own. Good Luck.

Some companies here make you pay that way too. It's so 1995. Ick.
