We are back!

Ahh it feels so good to be back home! We drove Thursday night after J's graduation and the drive is dreadful, but I was so excited that he was in front of me driving home too. :) Now we are both back and settling into the new routine. Never in a million years did I think I would be married to a drill sergeant and then again he never thought he would be one ha ha. Life is good though. We had the weekend together to unpack, be lazy together, catch up on the DVR and he worked a little in the yard because it sure needs it.

Today it is back to the grind. He went to check in and I can't wait to see where he will end up and what the rotation is looking like right now. We are planning a vacation the week after Christmas, but I have NO IDEA where we should go. Any suggestions? You can throw them my way.

I am busy this week with the final week of class and final paper so things will be slow getting up, but I will say the next giveaway is super cool if you are a reader. :)

Strep and Pride

Remember that fever I had? It ended up being strep throat! That was my first time having that and I can only hope it was my last. Strep and the summer just don't mix. The last few days of my family being in town I had to lay low after a trip to the ER. I was really feeling horrible. They left on the 31st and only a few hours later my husband showed up. He drove all the way home just to see me and spend the night before having to get back up super early and head back to school. Reason #495767421 why I love him. :)

Speaking of him I have to take a minute to say how proud of him I am. My husband is a wallflower. He may have a hard time admitting it, but he doesnt like to stick out or prove to be the best at something. Before he left for drill school I told him to never be afraid to be the best at anything and if he knew he could do better than do better because who really cares what others think, right? So when he called last week to tell me he was picked out of his platoon to go to the board for the leadership award I was so proud of him! Even if he didn't get it he stood out to someone. However, he went and he got it! He is also in the top of his class and I am so very proud of him. I can't wait to see him graduate in a week AND have him back home.

Other than that I am busy with school, trying to figure out some great things for my readers on here and vacationing. :)
